Engineering Service Contract Specialist

Role Overview

The Engineering Service Contract Specialist is responsible for sourcing and managing technical work packages in support of eVTOL aircraft development. This includes engineering services such as design support, analysis, simulation, tooling design/manufacture, component and vehicle testing as well as technical infrastructure projects such as flight simulators, training and test facility creation.

This role involves collaborating with domestic and international suppliers and in-house engineering teams to ensure best cost solutions are available.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze usage data and forecast needs to anticipate and prepare engineering services and non-aircraft engineering equipment
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact between SkyDrive and engineering service and equipment providers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with domestic and international suppliers and in-house engineering teams to ensure best cost solutions are available.
  • Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to ensure value delivery
  • Ensure suppliers comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for aerospace and eVTOL technology.
  • Identify opportunities for improving testing processes and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Work with suppliers to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance testing performance.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to supplier testing activities.
    *You must be open to traveling up to 25% of the time domestically/internationally.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, aerospace, engineering services, or a related role.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of commercial principles and engineering services
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Experience in aerospace or eVTOL industries.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPSM)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced data analytics tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of international supply chain regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in supplier risk management and performance evaluation techniques.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
