Noise Engineer for eVTOL

Outline of the Job
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Noise Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our aircraft meet noise certification requirements while contributing to the development of quiet and efficient solutions for urban air mobility. Your primary responsibility will be to define noise certification bases, create test plans, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish the noise certification basis in alignment with relevant regulations (e.g., JCAB, FAA, or other governing bodies).
- Develop detailed test plans to ensure compliance with noise certification requirements.
- Collaborate with certification authorities, external testing agencies, and internal teams to conduct and validate noise testing.
- Analyze and interpret noise test data to confirm adherence to standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on noise certification, providing guidance to cross-functional teams during the design and development process.
- Ensure noise requirements are integrated into the overall vehicle development cycle.

Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of noise certification regulations and processes (e.g., FAR Part 36, ICAO Annex 16).
- Proven experience in developing noise certification bases and test plans for aircraft.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on eVTOL or Urban Air Mobility (UAM) projects.
- Familiarity with ICAO Annex16 Chapter8 or Capter11
- Hands-on experience with noise analysis and acoustic simulation tools.
- Knowledge of rotor design and its impact on acoustic performance.
- Familiarity with advanced noise mitigation techniques and strategies.
- Practical experience in acoustic testing, including equipment setup and instrumentation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Type of Employment
- Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
- Probationary period: 3~6 month
Place of Employment
- Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefectur
- Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)
Working Hours
- Flextime or Discretionary labor system
- Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)
Holidays
- 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
- Annual paid leave
- Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)
Salary
- Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
- To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
