Outline of the Job

The Noise Test for eVTOL position involves leading the planning, management, and execution of activities related to obtaining aviation certification for noise performance. This includes developing a certification plan, creating a test outline for exterior noise, selecting appropriate test sites, conducting tests, and coordinating with the Civil Aviation Bureau to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role encompasses predicting and analyzing both exterior and interior noise, assisting in rotor noise reduction efforts, and supporting structural design to enhance cabin noise performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive certification plan for the noise performance of flying cars, ensuring alignment with aviation certification standards.
  • Formulate test items, devise measurement methods, and design equipment and procedures to collect and submit required noise data.
  • Plan and execute exterior noise tests, including test site search and selection, preparation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Analyze test data in collaboration with the flight test team and prepare detailed reports for submission to the Civil Aviation Bureau.
  • Predict and evaluate exterior and interior noise characteristics of flying cars to support noise reduction initiatives.
  • Assist in rotor noise reduction strategies and support structural design improvements to mitigate cabin noise levels.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in aircraft-related noise control design, test planning/implementation, and measurement planning/implementation.
  • Project leading skill
  • Ability to read and understand technical standards accurately in English.
  • The candidate should be able to establish the development process of the assigned technical field from the initial stage in order to support the aircraft development.
  • The candidate should have a good understanding of the aircraft development process (e.g. ARP4754).
  • The candidate should be able to plan, manage, and facilitate the selection, validation, and verification of requirements for the assigned technical area.
  • The candidate must be able to understand and harmonize the requirements of multiple teams on technical issues.
  • Ability to build good working relationships in a multilingual and cross-cultural environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Ability to speak and write English at a level appropriate for the job.
  • Experience in aircraft certification.
  • Experience with aircraft (both fixed wing and rotary wing), from conceptual and basic design.
  • Experience with rotary aircraft, drones, eVTOL.
  • Understanding of the aerodynamic characteristics of propeller/rotor blades and their impact on noise.
  • Experience in noise analysis of aircraft cabin noise and knowledge of cabin noise reduction measures.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefectur
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
