This role is about leadership through expertise — bringing together technical excellence, practical insight, and customer focus to drive tangible improvements in mill performance, productivity, and safety. You’ll collaborate across engineering, R&D, operations, and sales teams worldwide, ensuring Bradken remains at the forefront of innovation in comminution circuits, mill operations, and process metallurgy.

You excel at communicating complex ideas clearly, building strong relationships across teams, and turning technical insights into impactful results with a proactive, customer-focused mindset and high proficiency in reporting tools and engineering systems.

Key Technical Criteria

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process/Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualification.
  • A master’s or PhD in Engineering (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral processing and mill liner operations.
  • Proven expertise in comminution circuits, process metallurgy, and mill operations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex projects and customer engagements.
  • Experience working across diverse sites and cultures, preferably in global mining operations.
  • Strong background in consulting, project validation, and customer technical support.
  • Experience with 3D CAD solid modelling (NX preferred) and Discrete Element Method (DEM).
  • Exposure to software development (C++ and Python) is highly desirable.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of process metallurgy, mill liner design, and composite product philosophy.
  • Proficiency with DEM and ANSYS FEA software, and grinding circuit analysis (e.g., JKSimmet).
  • Knowledge of production, manufacturing processes, and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Skilled in CAD 3D/2D drafting, ideally with Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter PLM.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities.
  • Experience in process improvement and continuous optimization.

This role will be based in Lima, Peru or Santiago, Chile.
