What This Role Is All About

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounting Services Team.  In this role you will be responsible for processing accounting transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting Finance Managers in day to day operations. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and reliable support to the Regional Financial Controllers and broader Finance Team. This position contributes directly to the efficiency of our global operations by maintaining high-quality accounting processes, strong internal controls.

The role is part of a Global Team with colleagues based in Chile, Australia, Malaysia and India. You will partner closely with the Senior Accountant in Chile.

Accounting Services team is responsible for Bank reconciliation, Period end close, General Ledger Reconciliations, Fixed Assets, Intercompany accounting, Support across multiple finance modules including inventory, treasury, compliance, and budgeting.

You will work both independently and collaboratively with the Finance Manager, Regional Controllers, Finance leaders, and other key stakeholders across Bradken. As a one team, you’ll work to understand business requirements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement across our financial processes.

Key Technical Criteria

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business.

 

Experience and Skillset

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate management and financial reporting environment, with the ability to complete a full set of accounts.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, including the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience in financial processes & systems, including forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of technical accounting, accounting systems, and internal controls, with the commercial acumen to apply these effectively in a growing environment.
  • Shared services and/or audit experience are considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, demonstrates ownership, and communicates clearly and effectively.
  • English Intermediate or advance level is a plus.

This role is based in Lima - Peru or Santiago - Chile.
