What’s the Role?

Quality Assurance Business Partner – Chilca & Linings
In this role, you will embed quality thinking across the organisation by partnering with leaders and teams to align quality standards with operational goals. You will provide independent monitoring and auditing, guide risk-based decision-making, and strengthen compliance and continuous improvement.
You will also partner with stakeholders to attain, maintain, and maximise the value of ISO certifications—primarily ISO 9001 (and where applicable ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001)—ensuring requirements are translated into practical, sustainable processes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Governance & Auditing: Provide independent monitoring and auditing of the site Quality Management System (QMS), conducting interviews, reviews, direct testing and system evaluations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
ISO Certification Partnering: Lead and support certification and surveillance activities, ensuring ISO requirements are integrated into day-to-day operations in a practical way.
QMS Alignment & Improvement: Ensure site Quality Systems align with Bradken’s overarching QMS and support corporate improvements where required.
Customer & Product Quality: Support product quality specifications, analyse customer complaints, support investigations, and drive robust corrective actions and non-conformance management.
QA/NDT Escalations & Integrity: Act as the subject matter expert for QA/NDT issues, support major problem-solving, and help detect, track, and address unintentional or deliberate QMS violations.
Data to Action: Monitor quality performance trends and translate insights into SMART improvement plans with stakeholders.
Supplier & Documentation Control: Support supplier qualification/authorisation, compliance activities, and maintain accurate QA documentation.
Capability Building: Champion a Quality Assurance culture through coaching, mentoring, and training on QA standards, methods, and tools.
Site Presence: Predominantly based at Chilca and Linings; occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Our Ideal Candidate meets the following criteria

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical or related).
• Lean / Six Sigma qualifications (desirable).
• Lead Auditor and/or NDT certifications (desirable).

Experience:
• Significant experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering / QMS within heavy engineering or manufacturing environments.
• 10+ years in a senior quality role with hands-on ISO implementation and audit leadership.
• Experience with regulatory, third-party and customer audits, and leading mitigation activities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence peers and senior leaders and drive change in operational environments.

Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ISO frameworks and audit practices.
• Working knowledge of NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT) and QA/QC controls.
• Analytical problem-solving, continuous improvement mindset, and strong communication/influencing skills.

Language skills: Advance level English.

Location

The position will be based at our Chilca Foundry and Linings operations in Chilca, Lima (transportation will be provided).
