
Moulding Engineer

As a Moulding Engineer within the Bradken, Merlimau facility, you'll provide frontline leadership to the production employees within our Moulding section to deliver high-quality products for wear solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive technical excellence within the organisation.

You will achieve the agreed production schedule by ensuring the moulds and cores are made in a safe, timely, cost-effective manner, complying with both the daily production schedule and Quality Assurance requirements.
You will be a collaborative and open- minded engineer who will have a strong liaison with the Production Planning, Technical, Melting, Pattern Shop and After Cast Managers, to ensure a smooth flow of production and provide a continuous improvement of operations.
With your foundry and metallurgy background, you will develop, implement & review effective & efficient strategies to identify and respond to challenges to Moulding Shop production efficiencies.
Your attention to detail and dedication to improvement will drive our success. You'll oversee documentation, enforce procedures, manage resources, schedule projects, and develop team members
Driven by high standard of quality and production efficiency, you will work closely with Production Control to ensure production targets as set out on the schedule are achievable as planned and keep overtime within budget constraints and maintenance.
You are a proactive problem-solver dedicated to eliminating quality losses and ensuring compliance with customer requirements in the production of castings. Join us to make a difference! Additionally, you will assist the Technical Section in waste 'root cause' investigations and corrective action, contributing as a valued member of the waste review team
As a result-driven and detail-oriented professional, you will manage the production control, resource management staff training, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Technical Criteria:
- Relevant degree in Foundry/Metallurgy/Industrial Engineering
- Experience in managing moulding department, projects, and management of Beforecast in a foundry environment plant.
- Understanding of local HSE regulations and good English communication skills
- Process/Data Based approach in problem solving
