About the Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the development and reinforcement of Bradken’s commercial presence in Chile, with a strong focus on steel mill liners for mineral processing applications.
This role offers a meaningful opportunity for a technically grounded business development professional with a hunter mindset, who enjoys working close to the market, engaging directly with mine sites, and building long-term partnerships with customers.
It is a field-based position within a growing and collaborative team, where the successful candidate will play an active role in expanding Bradken’s footprint in the Chilean mineral processing market through steel mill liner solutions. The role provides exposure to international teams and manufacturing operations, as well as the opportunity to take ownership of customer relationships, trials, and ongoing commercial development.
Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Product, and Manufacturing teams across Chile, and global operations, the role reports into regional leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Execute Bradken’s steel mill liner business development strategy in Chile.
- Identify, develop, and progressively convert new customers into sustainable steel liner contracts.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of mineral processing opportunities, with a strong focus on steel solutions.
- Engage directly with mine sites, engineering teams (Engineering, Product, and Manufacturing), and procurement stakeholders during early-stage project discussions and trials.
- Lead customer presentations, technical-commercial proposals, and contract support activities.
- Actively collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, coaching and influencing deal closure.
- Support the introduction of new designs, technical solutions, and incremental innovation, accelerating time-to-market.
- Travel frequently to key mining regions
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Commercial Roles within mineral processing.
- Background in steel mill liners, steel consumables, or fixed plant equipment for grinding circuits.
- Experience with medium-to-large mining suppliers.
- Degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; MBA or postgraduate studies in business are a plus but not required.
- Proven hunter mindset, with a track record of developing new customers and growth opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, and commercial functions.
- CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
- Intermediate to advanced English to work with global teams. (Desirable to have)
- Valid Chilean Class B driver’s license and willingness to operate a pick-up truck.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Chile and internationally as required by business.
This role is hybrid based in Chile (Open to any location)
