Role Overview
We are looking for an DevOps Backup Engineer for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions for the Shared Backup environment and Commvault Backup & Recovery systems. You will work closely with internal teams to streamline processes, ensure system reliability, and maintain compliance with security and operational standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and manage automation tools and systems to support infrastructure and application processes.
  • Maintain and expand CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and REST APIs.
  • Manage the automation ticket queue, resolving bugs, feature requests, and process improvements.
  • Define and apply standards and best practices for infrastructure and application automation.
  • Ensure systems comply with security and compliance guidelines.
  • Participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation based on a shift system.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps Backup Engineer or in a related role.
  • Strong skills in Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git, with familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent practical expertise.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, with an understanding of security principles.
  • Analytical and proactive, able to identify problems and implement solutions effectively.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of Commvault Workflows, Sentry, Poetry, and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Kanban methodologies.
  • Developer background or experience working closely with developers.
