The Role in a Nutshell  

We are seeking Azure Data Engineer on behalf of our client. Do you love building robust data pipelines that fuel powerful insights? Are you passionate about making data accessible and actionable for teams across the organization? If you’re a data enthusiast who thrives on tackling complex problems, we want YOU as our Azure Data Engineer! Help us transform raw data into meaningful solutions.

 

Your Day-to-Day  

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and data flows using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
• Develop and deploy serverless data solutions using Azure Functions, Event Grid, and Cosmos DB triggers.
• Architect and support modern cloud-native data platforms following Lakehouse or Data Warehouse design patterns.
• Apply DataOps principles, Clean Data Architecture, and best practices for modular, maintainable, and extensible data solutions.
• Implement batch and streaming data ingestion and transformation pipelines using PySpark, T-SQL, and Synapse Pipelines.
• Manage data governance, metadata, and lineage using tools such as Azure Purview or equivalent.
• Ensure data quality and security through validation, data masking, encryption at rest and in transit, and RBAC-based access.

 

Your Key Strengths

• 3+ years of experience designing and building data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, or Databricks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and event-driven architectures (e.g., Cosmos DB change feed, Event Grid).
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., Lakehouse, DWH, ELT/ETL, star/snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in T-SQL, Spark/PySpark, and designing complex data transformation workflows.
• Familiarity with data formats such as Parquet, Avro, JSON and effective partitioning strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools for data workflows (e.g., Azure DevOps or equivalent).
• Knowledge of data governance, observability, and monitoring practices using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar tools.
• Solid grasp of software development best practices in the context of data engineering (unit/integration testing, documentation).
