Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that support analytics and business intelligence. You will work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to ensure reliable, high-quality data for strategic decision-making.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and store data from multiple sources.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all systems.
- Implement and optimize database architectures and data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL, cloud storage).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and scalability.
- Stay up to date with emerging data engineering technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with real-time streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
- Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
