Content Studio Manager

London, England, United Kingdom

Who are we?

Here at Nothing, we're building a world where tech is fun again. Remember a time where every new product made you excited? We're bringing that back. To get there we're gathering the creative and the curious. Those that are passionate enough to question the old and embrace the new. In return, you'll be part of a movement. Contributing to a global ecosystem of products that bring joy to people's lives.

Nothing's debut smartphone, Phone (1), earned Time Magazine’s prestigious Best Inventions for Innovative Smartphone Design award. Through cutting-edge design and user interface innovation, the London-based company is creating an alternative ecosystem of tech products for the young and creative.

In 2023, the company launched Phone (2) to wide acclaim from its community, the media, and design enthusiasts, and in 2024, Nothing launched its CMF Phone 1, and Nothing Phone (2a) Series, with both receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception.

To date, Nothing has sold more than 7 million units worldwide across its product lines, having released five audio products, five smartphones, and two smart wearables under the Nothing and CMF by Nothing brands. The company has amassed a cumulative revenue of $1 billion.

All products are developed in close collaboration with the Nothing Community, which includes over 8,000 private investors and are crafted with sustainability at the forefront.

Nothing is a UK-based privately held company with backing from GV (formerly Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, C Ventures and other private investors including Tony Fadell (Principal at Future Shape & inventor of the iPod), Casey Neistat (YouTube personality and Co-founder of Beme), Kevin Lin (Co-founder of Twitch) and Steve Huffman (Co-founder and CEO of Reddit).

The Role:

Nothing is seeking a razor-sharp, hyper-organised, and creatively fluent Studio Manager to join our original content team, the brains and energy behind our growing YouTube-first storytelling engine.

This role is equal parts project manager, production wrangler, and data strategist, a mission-critical position for keeping our creative machine running with rhythm, precision, and purpose.

We’re not making ads. We’re building a studio that creates content people actually want to watch. If you geek out on creative workflows, understand the hustle of production, and thrive on turning chaos into clarity, this is your gig.

Who You Are:

  • You’re operationally brilliant — fluent in managing timelines, resources, and moving parts without breaking a sweat.
  • You speak both creative and data. You can pivot between a brainstorm and a performance report — and make each one better.
  • You get content. Not just the process, but the craft — and you know what it takes behind the scenes to bring it to life on YouTube.
  • You’re a team whisperer. Whether it’s creators, editors, or stakeholders, you know how to manage people, priorities, and expectations.
  • You have a strong grasp of production logistics — from call sheets to location scouting, you know how shoots work, and how to make them run smoother.

What You'll Do:
  • Build and own operational processes that make the content engine scalable — from production workflows to creative pipelines.

  • Measure profitability of content efforts — ensuring that resources, time, and output align with business value.

  • Run pre- and post-production logistics — booking locations, managing schedules, keeping budgets tight and timelines tighter.

  • Be the briefing gatekeeper — helping filter and schedule creative asks so the team stays focused and agile.

  • Manage resourcing — ensure the right people are on the right projects, and spot gaps before they become problems.

  • Drive creative cadence — facilitate brainstorms, track idea pipelines, and ensure the team is always surfacing fresh concepts.

  • Track content performance and ops efficiency — collate data, identify bottlenecks, and constantly optimise studio output.

  • Jump into production — from set days to scrappy support, you're not above getting hands-on to help things ship.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a studio manager, production manager, content operations lead, or similar hybrid role.

  • Demonstrated strength in building and implementing scalable systems and processes.

  • Strong knowledge of digital/video production workflows and timelines.

  • Data-savvy — confident in reporting performance metrics and turning them into strategy.

  • Experience with tools like Notion, Airtable, Google Suite, and production software.

  • A collaborative leader with sharp communication skills — calm under pressure, focused in chaos.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience in a YouTube-first or creator-led content studio.

  • Background in tech, design, fashion, or music.

  • An eye for streamlining — you live to optimise workflows and increase impact.

  • Passionate about creative culture, YouTube, and what it means to make content in 2025.

We are an equal opportunity employer and will always promote a more diverse and inclusive environment. We are committed to being a welcome employer for all candidates.
