About the role
You’ll be a support resource for our Certifications, Legal and Compliance Teams in relation to Brazilian software and content ownership, focusing on betting/gaming regulation. Your primary mission: research, follow and support certification processes and routines ensuring compliance with the regulatory needs from a legal perspective (tests, audits, submissions, liaison with test labs and regulators), while also handling general regulatory law support.
On a secondary attribution, to provide support to the South African Team and other jurisdictions.
This role is entry-level — prior experience in gaming/regulation is not mandatory.
What you'll be doing
- Support certification and compliance projects end-to-end: scheduling, tracking progress, coordinating with testing labs (ATFs), preparing documentation for audits and regulator submissions;
- Responsible for tracking expiry dates of certifications and reports, and ensuring relevant teams work towards renewing certificates on time.
- Assist in interpreting technical certification requirements / standards in accordance with Brazilian ordinances (e.g. GLI, BMM, gaming test lab standards)
- Maintain a centralized library of regulatory & certification documents, version control, templates, internal knowledge base
- Monitor regulatory developments in Brazil & South Africa specific to betting & certifications; prepare concise internal summaries
- Assist the Compliance teams (Brazil, Mexico & South Africa) with regulatory checks, risk reviews, policy drafts, internal processes
- Provide legal and regulatory research support on betting/gaming laws; draft memos, legal opinions (junior level)
- Interface with external certification bodies, testing labs, third-party vendors, and regulators
- Coordinate cross-functional interactions (Product, Engineering, QA, Certifications Team) to ensure certification compliance
- Prepare reports, dashboards and status updates for leadership & stakeholders
What you'll bring
- Must be based in São Paulo, Brazil, available to work on hybrid model
- Law degree (or in last undergraduate year) or other relevant legal/compliance education
- Fluent English (written & spoken) is mandatory
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple certification tracks
- Analytical mindset, capacity to learn technical standards (software, testing, gaming)
- Proactive, good communicator, ability to liaise across teams and external entities
- No prior experience in betting/gaming regulation or certification is required
Even better if
- Exposure or interest in **certification / testing lab standards (GLI, BMM, eCOGRA or similar)**
- Understanding of games, betting and igaming industry
- Basic technical / software understanding (e.g., how software is tested / QA / technical specifications)
- Experience or coursework in compliance / regulatory law
