About the role

We are building a next-generation sports broadcasting platform focused on delivering high-quality, fast-paced sports programming to a South African audience, with a strong emphasis on football.

As an Assistant Producer, you will play a critical support role in delivering high-quality sports programming. You will work closely with the Producer to ensure that all editorial, logistical, and operational elements of a show are prepared and executed seamlessly.

This role offers strong growth potential and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in sports broadcasting.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the Producer in building show rundowns and segment structures

  • Conduct research across sports topics, with a focus on football

  • Prepare briefing notes, scripts, and talking points

  • Coordinate guests, contributors, and analysts

  • Assist with show timing, cueing, and live execution

  • Ensure all show elements (graphics, clips, stats) are prepared

  • Monitor live sports news and update editorial teams accordingly

  • Assist with post-production requirements and content cutdowns

  • Handle administrative and logistical production tasks

What you'll be bring

  • 1–3 years experience in production, media, or digital content

  • Strong knowledge of sports, particularly football

  • Excellent research and writing skills

  • Strong organisational and multitasking ability

  • Ability to work under pressure in live environments

  • High attention to detail

Even better if

  • Experience in a live broadcast or studio environment

  • Basic video editing skills

  • Experience working with talent or coordinating contributors

  • Understanding of sports data and analytics
