About the role

The Promo Editor / Motion Designer will be responsible for creating on-air promos, social cutdowns, sponsorship elements and motion graphics packages for live sports and studio programming.

This role requires strong storytelling skills, brand sensitivity and the ability to deliver fast-turnaround creative assets aligned with live sports calendars.

What you'll be doing

  • Create on-air promotional assets including match promos, tournament campaigns and programming teasers.
  • Edit short-form content and highlight packages for social media and digital platforms.
  • Develop motion graphics elements such as bumpers, lower thirds, transitions and sponsorship assets.
  • Ensure visual consistency with SportyNet’s brand guidelines across all promotional materials.
  • Work closely with Programming and Marketing teams to support upcoming broadcasts and campaigns.
  • Deliver fast-turnaround edits aligned with live sports calendars and programming deadlines.
  • Adapt creative assets for multiple formats including TV, YouTube and social media.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Maintain organized project files and version control for ongoing campaigns.
  • Contribute creative ideas for promotional storytelling and viewer engagement.

What you'll bring

  • Degree in Film, Communication, Design or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in broadcast promo or sports media
  • Experience working with live sports content
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating motion design and promo editing

Technical Skills Desired

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere
  • Strong skills in After Effects
  • Understanding of broadcast safe standards and delivery specs
  • Experience with dynamic templates and fast-turn workflows
  • Knowledge of sound design basics
