Content Production Lead
About the role
SportyNet, including studio shows, field productions, original formats, special projects, and live broadcasts. This role requires strong creative, organizational, and operational expertise, ensuring that every production meets editorial, technical, and quality standards. The Production Lead will collaborate closely with editorial, programming, technical operations, design, and talent teams to bring to life compelling sports entertainment across linear and digital platforms.
What you'll be doing
End-to-End Production Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all content productions (studio, field, live, recorded)
- Oversee pre-production activities including budgeting, scheduling, logistics, scripts, and production planning
- Ensure all productions run smoothly, on time, and within budget
- Supervise production assistants, coordinators, producers, and external crews throughout the workflow
Studio Operations & Show Production
- Oversee studio setup, production workflows, and all operational needs for daily and special programs
- Coordinate with technical teams (audio, video, lighting, camera operators, engineering) to ensure readiness
- Lead production meetings, rundown reviews, and talent briefings
- Guarantee execution aligned with editorial and visual standards
Field Productions & Special Coverage
- Manage field shoots for interviews, reports, documentaries, and event coverage
- Coordinate logistics such as locations, transportation, releases, and crew requirements
- Ensure content capture follows creative guidelines and meets SportyNet’s technical standards
Live Broadcast Production Support
- Oversee live production workflows in collaboration with editorial, technical teams, and MCR
- Manage timing, rundown execution, segment transitions, and on-air adjustments
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and broadcast requirements
Budget, Resources & Vendor Management
- Create, manage, and track production budgets for all projects
- Contract, brief, and supervise external suppliers (freelancers, production houses, equipment rentals, etc.)
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure cost efficiency and quality standards
- Allocate production resources according to channel priorities and project needs
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with editorial, programming, design, social media, and marketing teams to align production outputs with channel strategy
- Ensure integrated workflows for multiplatform deliveries (TV, digital, social)
- Collaborate with commercial teams on sponsored content and branded productions
Process Optimization & Quality Control
- Develop and maintain production workflows, documentation, and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with technical, legal, and editorial standards
- Maintain high quality control over all delivered content, from raw footage to final edits
- Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvements to production processes
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the production team, supporting their growth and development
- Provide training, evaluations, and clear direction to internal and external collaborators
- Foster a collaborative, organized, and solution-oriented production culture
What you'll bring
- Degree in Audiovisual Production, Broadcasting, Communications, or related fields
- Proven experience in content production, TV production management, studio operations, or live event production
- Experience in sports content is a strong advantage
- Background in managing teams, budgets, and complex production workflows
- Strong understanding of production workflows, studio operations, and live broadcast processes
- Knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio, switchers, and technical production infrastructure
- Familiarity with post-production workflows, editing, file formats, and asset delivery
- Ability to read and structure rundowns, scripts, and production planning documents
- Intermediate to advanced English for interacting with partners, vendors, and international content sources
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- High organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative problem-solving and quick decision-making, especially in live environments
- Proactivity, adaptability, and resilience in fast-paced production scenarios
- Ability to collaborate across departments and work under pressure
