About the role

The Video Editor will be responsible for producing high-quality video content for broadcast and digital platforms, including promotional assets, highlights, social media clips and programming materials.

The role requires strong storytelling ability, speed in editing workflows and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment driven by live sports calendars and tight deadlines.

What you'll be doing

Edit video content for broadcast, digital platforms and social media.
Produce promotional materials including match promos, competition campaigns and programming teasers.
Create highlight packages and short-form content from live sports events.
Work with motion graphics elements such as lower thirds, transitions, sponsorship elements and animated graphics.
Ensure visual and editorial consistency with SportyNet’s brand guidelines.
Collaborate with Programming, Marketing and Social Media teams to support upcoming broadcasts and campaigns.
Deliver fast-turnaround edits aligned with live sports schedules and editorial priorities.
Adapt content for different formats including TV, YouTube and social media platforms.
Organize and maintain project files, timelines and version control for ongoing productions.
Contribute creative ideas for storytelling, promos and audience engagement initiatives.

What you'll bring

Degree in Film, Communication, Audiovisual Production or related field.
3+ years of experience in video editing for media companies, broadcasters or digital platforms.
Experience working with sports content or live events is highly desirable.
Strong portfolio demonstrating editing skills and storytelling.

Technical Skills Desired

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
Strong skills in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation.
Experience with broadcast editing workflows and delivery formats.
Understanding of video codecs, frame rates and export standards.
Experience adapting content for TV and digital platforms.
