CSR Officer
Rayong, Thailand
Purpose/ Mission:
The CSR Officer will be responsible for implementing community engagement and corporate social responsibility activities in Rayong province. This role plays a key part in fostering good relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders, while supporting the company’s sustainable development goals and regulatory requirements (e.g., EIA-related commitments).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement CSR initiatives and community development projects in Rayong in alignment with the company’s sustainability strategy.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and local stakeholders including village leaders, community groups, local authorities, and educational institutions.
- Support public consultations, community meetings, and stakeholder dialogues, especially those related to the EIA process.
- Collect and document community feedback, concerns, and suggestions, and report regularly to CSR and project management teams.
- Organize and participate in community events, cultural and religious festivals, volunteer activities, and other local engagement efforts.
- Assist in the development and distribution of communication materials (e.g., newsletters, brochures) to promote transparency and understanding about the company’s operations.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and external consultants on CSR-related compliance and reporting.
- Monitor CSR budgets and ensure proper documentation of all community activities.
- Support emergency response coordination in case of incidents affecting the community.
- Maintain good relationships with local media and promote a positive image of the company in the area.
- Support the Senior Manager Operations and External Affairs Manager in all other relevant tasks where requested.
Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CSR, community engagement, or stakeholder relations, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Rayong province and experience working with local communities is a strong advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and empathy.
Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, Communications, or related fields.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Good command of Thai and English.
- Computer literacy in MS Office and reporting tools.
Required Language Proficiency:
- English - Moderate
