Communications Manager

Thailand

Purpose/ Mission:

As a communications Manager, you will lead our public relations efforts and support internal communications across the company. This role requires someone with excellent writing skills, sound strategic thinking, and strong relationships with Thai and regional media. You will shape how we tell our story to the public, to the media, and to our people.

The ideal candidate combines strategic insight with the ability to execute from pitching to press and writing executive communications to advising on communication risks and ensuring employees are kept informed and inspired. You will work closely with senior leaders and external partners, including managing our PR agency to ensure consistent messaging, strong media outreach, and high-quality public-facing content.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Relations (External Communications)

  • Lead and implement PR strategies that enhance brand reputation and visibility in local markets and support Senior Marketing & PR Manager for regional market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media in Thailand.
  • Draft press releases, opinion articles, media kits, and executive speeches for Thai language.
  • Serve as the main media contact; manage media inquiries, interviews, and press events in Thailand.
  • Monitor and respond to media coverage; advise leadership on media positioning and reputational risks for Thai market.
  • Manage and Coordinate with external PR agencies in Thailand.

Internal Communications

  • Support internal communication efforts to strengthen company culture and employee engagement
  • Support Senior Manager Marketing & PR to Develop clear and consistent messaging for internal announcements, newsletters, and leadership communications
  • Collaborate with HR and function heads to ensure aligned and timely internal messaging
  • Assist to plan and execute internal events and campaigns that foster transparency and unity

Cross-functional Support

  • Work closely with leadership, marketing, and functional teams to ensure aligned storytelling across platforms
  • Support crisis communication planning and response when needed
  • Contribute to content for the corporate website, social media, and stakeholder reports for Thai language.

Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:

  • Native Thai speaker with excellent writing and editing skills in Thai.
  • Proficient in English Communication
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism
  • Proven media relations experience, with strong connections to Thai media
  • Able to craft clear, engaging content for various audiences, including media, employees, and senior executives
  • Skilled at handling sensitive or complex topics with clarity and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Familiar with standard PR and communications tools such as media monitoring platforms, press distribution services, and content planning system
  • Solid understanding of media engagement, messaging strategy, and communications planning
  • Background in sustainability, energy, or industrial sectors is an advantage

Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business/Communications) is preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in related field (Marketing/Public Relation/Business) is an advantage. 

Required Language Proficiency:

  • English - Fluent
