
Senior Accountant
Purpose/ Mission:
The Senior Accountant ensures accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting and accounting processes for Meranti Green Steel Thailand during the project development and construction phases. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust accounting systems aligned with Thai regulatory standards and internal policies. The Senior Accountant also supports budgeting and audit activities and collaborates closely with regional finance and operations teams to enable smooth financial operations and informed business decision-making. In addition, the Senior Accountant provides day-to-day support to the Senior Finance Manager Thailand in various financial and accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support accounts for payable and receivable processes, tax matters, and payment processing by verifying and recording transactions accurately.
- Handle employee expense reimbursement.
- Support the maintaining and tracking of company fixed assets and Construction in Progress (CIP), including cost tracking, accurate capitalization, and coordination with relevant departments and project teams to ensure proper financial reporting of capital projects and asset-related matters.
- Support the implementation of the new ERP system by collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing necessary accounting input.
- Reconcile bank statements, account balances, and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support bank reconciliation and account balance reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support the weekly update of actual cash flow and assist in preparing cash flow forecasts.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager Thailand in month-end and year-end closing activities, including physical fixed asset counts and the annual audit process.
- Support coordination efforts with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities as needed.
- Support tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and documentation during tax audits.
- Support general day-to-day finance operations as needed.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager Thailand in all relevant tasks where requested.
Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably ERP implementation experience and Payable, Fixed Asset, Cash forecast skills
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar), with involvement in ERP implementation projects considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Microsoft Office 365 (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS SharePoint)
- Experience work with ERP (Oracle, SAP) is preferred
- Experience work in Fixed asset is preferred
- Experience in BOI business is preferred

Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
