
Business Process Lead
Purpose/ Mission:
The role will work across corporate, enabling, and operational functions to support the development of clear, consistent, and fit-for-purpose business processes. Priority will be given to areas most critical to enabling the company’s Final Investment Decision and early-stage operations — which may include Finance, HR, Procurement, HSE, Sustainability, Supply Chain, and others depending on readiness and need.
Operating in a greenfield context, this role will bring clarity and structure to an environment where systems, processes, and ownership are still being defined. It requires someone who can work cross-functionally, bridge policy and execution, and support the development of efficient, scalable, and well-governed ways of working across jurisdictions.
The role reports to the ERP Program Manager and acts as a hands-on partner in aligning business operations with ERP implementation and cross-functional process readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Process Mapping & Alignment
§ Define, map, and document business processes across functions using fit-for-purpose tools such as process flowcharts, SOPs, and RACI matrices
- Work with functional leads to ensure business processes are aligned with policies, internal controls, and Meranti’s intended ways of workingDebt/banking-specific focus:
- Identify gaps, redundancies, or inconsistencies and support the refinement of workflows to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency
- Cross-Functional Integration
- Partner with teams across Corporate and Country functions — including Finance, HR, Procurement, HSE, Sustainability, Marketing, and others — to facilitate alignment of end-to-end processes
- upport the integration of process design with ERP configuration and digital workflows, in close collaboration with the ERP Program Manager and Digitalization team
- Ensure processes are coordinated across jurisdictions and aligned to Meranti’s group-level governance structures
- Readiness & Execution Support
- Prioritize and support the development of business processes critical to investment readiness, certification, and operational startup
- Develop and maintain a central repository of approved process documentation and ensure traceability of changes
- Support change management and communications related to new or updated business processes
Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in process improvement, business operations, or corporate functions with exposure to process design
- Prior experience working across multiple functions or departments, ideally in industrial, infrastructure, or scaling environments
- Familiarity with process documentation tools and methods (e.g., flowcharts, SOPs, RACI, BPMN)
- Experience supporting ERP implementation or digital transformation projects is an advantage but not required
- Structured thinker with strong analytical and documentation skills
- Comfortable facilitating cross-functional workshops and building alignment between different stakeholders
- Practical, delivery-focused, and comfortable operating in environments where systems and structures are still forming
- Able to distill complexity into clear and usable guidance without overengineering
- Collaborative and diplomatic; able to work across levels, functions, and cultures with maturity and clarity
Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field with relevance to business operations or process improvement
- Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, ERP, or process documentation methodologies is advantageous but not required
