Associate Business Development Manager

Thailand

Purpose/ Mission:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead market expansion and strategic partnership initiatives for our green steel mill in Thailand . This role is pivotal in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, fostering customer relationships, and promoting our sustainable steel solutions to Thailand and regional markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, renewable technologies, and sustainability-focused industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development & Strategy

  • Identify and evaluate new market segments and business opportunities in green construction, automotive, packaging and general manufacturing sectors.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for green steel products.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and customer needs.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, government agencies, and stakeholders in the green manufacturing space.
  • Negotiate contracts, partnerships, and supply agreements with a focus on long-term value and sustainability.

Sustainability & ESG Integration

  • Work closely with technical and sustainability teams to align product offerings with carbon neutrality goals.
  • Communicate the environmental benefits of green steel to customers and support them in meeting their own sustainability targets.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with operations, production, marketing, and supply chain team to ensure alignment between commercial goals and product capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of new sustainable steel products and packaging methods.

Performance Monitoring

  • Set KPIs, track business development metrics, and provide regular reporting to senior management on growth performance and market penetration.
  • Support the VP Business Development in all relevant tasks where requested.

Requirements/ Skills/ Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the steel, manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of decarbonization, circular economy, and ESG principles in industrial contexts (preferred)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and environmentally driven environment.
  • Experience with green steel processes (e.g., hydrogen-based DRI, electric arc furnace).
  • Familiarity with sustainability certifications and carbon accounting standards.

Required Education/ Qualification/ Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

Required Language Proficiency:

  • English - Fluent
