Job Summary:

The IT Executive will play a key role in supporting and managing the IT infrastructure within the manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining computer systems, hardware, software, and networks, ensuring smooth operations of day-to-day IT functions, and assisting in the implementation of IT projects to enhance business productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT System Administration & Support:
    • Maintain and troubleshoot the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, workstations, printers, and peripherals.
    • Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
    • Administer and maintain corporate systems and applications used in manufacturing operations, ensuring they meet business requirements.
    • Monitor system performance, conduct regular backups, and manage data security protocols.
  2. Network & Security Management:
    • Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure by managing firewalls, antivirus software, and access control systems.
    • Monitor network traffic to identify and resolve any potential security threats or connectivity issues.
    • Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard against data breaches and cyber threats.
  3. Software & Hardware Management:
    • Install, configure, and upgrade software applications (ERP systems, manufacturing software, etc.) and hardware systems as per the needs of the manufacturing processes.
    • Manage licenses, software updates, and patches for all company systems.
    • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and maintenance.
  4. Collaboration on IT Projects:
    • Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of new IT solutions and systems to optimize manufacturing workflows.
    • Participate in cross-functional project teams to integrate IT with manufacturing processes (e.g., MES, SCADA systems).
    • Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new IT technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  5. Data Management & Reporting:
    • Manage data storage, backup, and recovery systems to ensure that data is securely stored and can be recovered when needed.
    • Assist with the preparation of regular IT performance reports, and provide insights and recommendations to management on improving system efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and internal data governance policies.
  6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
    • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT services, equipment, and support.
    • Ensure timely resolution of IT-related issues and queries by collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
  7. User Training & Support:
    • Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of IT systems, software, and best practices.
    • Create and maintain user manuals and documentation for IT systems and processes.
    • Assist with onboarding new employees, ensuring they have the necessary IT resources and access.
  8. Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to IT infrastructure, software applications, or network connectivity in a timely manner.
    • Provide on-site or remote support for manufacturing floor IT systems and related devices.
