What’s the Role? Engineering Lead – Chilca Foundry We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineering Lead to join our team in Chilca. In this role, you will be a Level II Operational Delivery leader, accountable for ensuring work is undertaken in a safe, cost-effective manner to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, reliability, and availability of equipment. You will play a crucial part in optimizing resources and planning to comply with the asset management program.
Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership: Champion a "Safety First" culture by ensuring all engineering and maintenance activities comply with Bradken’s safety standards and regulations. Actively demonstrate safety as the number one priority, ensuring full implementation of safe work systems to achieve Zero Harm.

Asset Management & Strategy: Ensure asset strategies are in place for all equipment, leading preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to meet business reliability requirements. Manage spare parts and engineering stores levels effectively.

Project Management (CAPEX): Scope, develop, plan, and execute capital projects and large works programs to meet business needs. Maintain accurate project lists and ensure execution by competent personnel within budget.

Team Leadership: Build and lead a large multi-disciplined team (including Electrical/Mechanical Supervisors and Projects). Develop people through coaching, training plans, and performance management to achieve high output and engagement.

Continuous Improvement: Analyze asset strategy performance and implement improvements. Consult with manufacturers on new technologies and benchmark asset performance to drive competitive advantage.
Our Ideal Candidate meet the following criteria:
Qualifications:

Education: Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical and related). Post-graduate qualifications in management, project management, or lean manufacturing are highly valued.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on management of complex, multi-faceted projects and experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment or heavy engineering industry.

Leadership: Experience managing a large multi-disciplined team is essential.

Technical Knowledge: Development of preventative maintenance programs, installation/commissioning of major plant equipment, and implementation of significant change management initiatives.

Language skills: Advanced level of English is required.
Location: The position will be based at our Chilca Foundry, located at G74J+WH, Chilca 15870 (transportation will be provided).
