About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Staff Technical Program Manager to oversee and drive complex technical programs across multiple teams and departments. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects and programs, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and aligning technical initiatives with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong program management skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will play a key role in driving execution and ensuring collaboration between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.



What You Will Do:

 

Program Strategy and Execution:

- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

- Define program scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the program lifecycle.

- Manage program risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring proactive identification and resolution to minimize impact on timelines and outcomes.

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure program requirements are clearly defined, documented, and understood by all stakeholders.

 

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Serve as the central point of contact for technical programs, facilitating communication and collaboration between teams, including engineering, product management, operations, and leadership.

- Ensure effective coordination across all teams involved in the program, managing interdependencies and fostering strong collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Drive alignment between multiple teams and ensure that program milestones and deadlines are met, escalating issues and making adjustments as needed to keep programs on track.

 

Technical Leadership and Guidance:

- Provide technical guidance and insights to help drive decision-making and trade-offs throughout the program lifecycle. Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with architectural best practices.

- Partner with engineering leads to manage resource allocation, identify bottlenecks, and balance priorities between competing technical initiatives.

- Facilitate discussions on architecture, scalability, and technology stack choices to ensure optimal solutions are implemented.

Process Improvement and Optimization:

- Continuously improve program management processes and practices, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance team collaboration, and increase efficiency.

- Implement best practices in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies to drive effective execution and continuous delivery of technical programs.

- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tracking mechanisms to provide visibility into program status, risks, and outcomes.

 

Stakeholder Management and Communication:

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and progress. Facilitate strategic discussions and decision-making to ensure program success.

- Communicate complex technical concepts and program details to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.

- Manage expectations and influence decision-making by presenting data-driven insights, trade-offs, and recommendations.

 

What You Will Need:

Education:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A strong technical background is critical for understanding the complexities of the programs you will manage.

 

Experience:

-  10+ years' experience in Telecom domain in wide range of roles - Project Management, Delivery and Operations

- Experience leading technical programs in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, working across multiple teams and functions.

- Have hands on experience in the BSS and/or OSS Integration Platforms, Service Activation and Provisioning, API Gateway Integration and Billing Platforms - CRM, Order Management, Enterprise platforms

- Extensive experience managing cross-functional teams and aligning technical initiatives with business objectives.

Technical Skills:

- Program Management: Expertise in end-to-end program management, including defining scope, managing risks, and ensuring timely delivery of complex programs.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical concepts such as software development, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture, with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams.

- Agile Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies, with experience driving Agile adoption across teams.

- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making, assess risks, and evaluate program performance.

- Tools and Technologies: Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar tools to manage project timelines and deliverables.

 

Leadership and Communication:

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across multiple disciplines.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple high-impact programs simultaneously and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strategic thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset and business acumen, capable of making sound decisions under pressure.

 

Preferred Certifications:

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Agile Project Manager.

- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or experience with scaled Agile frameworks.

Additional Qualifications:

- Experience in large-scale program management within a technology or software development environment. Proven ability to manage highly technical, complex programs that span multiple teams.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and system scalability, with experience in cloud-based environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

- Experience with budget management, resource planning, and driving cost-efficient program execution.
