Rotor Team Member

Toyoyama, Aichi

We are on the verge of obtaining Type Certification for our cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft, and we're seeking a Rotor Team Member to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our rotor system, from structural design to certification.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of composite rotors for an eVTOL aircraft.
  • Conduct stress, fatigue, and life studies, and implement robust test methods to ensure durability and safety..
  • Perform loads and vibration analysis, including rotor dynamics effects
  • Apply your expertise in multicopter and rotor blade aerodynamics and dynamics to understand their impact on loads.
  • Provide technical support for loads and dynamic analysis related to rotor design.
  • Prepare and manage all documentation required for Type Certification (TC).
  • Collaborate directly with certification authorities like the JCAB, FAA, or other equivalent agencies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in aerodynamics, manufacturing, and systems engineering to seamlessly integrate the rotor system into the aircraft.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in the design or test planning of rotor components.

  • Experience with Part 35 (propellers) or Part 27/29 (rotors) certification.

  • Direct experience working with certification authorities and preparing technical documents for Type Certification.

  • Deep understanding of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.

  • Experience with fatigue analysis, loads, and vibration analysis and testing at both the component and aircraft levels.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency with FLIGHTLAB or similar software.

  • Knowledge of Aeroelastic Finite Element Modeling using software like NASTRAN or ANSYS.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
    • Measures to Prevent Secondhand Smoke: Smoking Room Provided
  • Travel may be required if necessary.
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
    • In the case of flextime: No core time
    • Discretionary Labor System: Specialized Class Deemed working hours per day: 10 hours
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)
    • Overtime Work: Available

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 6,850,000 - JPY  13,000,000
  • Monthly Salary: JPY 571,000- JPY 1,080,000
    • Includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours, amounting to JPY 197,680- JPY 296,697
      *Additional overtime pay will be provided for hours exceeding the fixed overtime.
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
