Battery Test Engineer

Outline of the Job

As a Battery Test Specialist for flying cars, you will primarily be responsible for evaluating the performance and durability of battery systems using lithium-ion batteries. Working closely with internal design, analysis, testing, and certification teams, as well as overseas suppliers, you will be involved in a wide range of activities from developing test plans to conducting tests, analyzing results, and reporting.

Job Duties

  • Develop appropriate test plans and conduct performance evaluations of battery systems.
  • Conduct battery tests, collect data, and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Identify and address issues or abnormalities during testing.
  • Analyze collected data to evaluate the performance and durability of battery systems.
  • Document test results and provide reports or presentations to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the testing team for equipment management and necessary maintenance.
  • Adapt systems according to changes such as modifications, troubleshooting, and problem resolution based on test conditions or required data changes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in battery testing and battery system evaluation (single cells, high-voltage battery packs, battery cooling, etc.)
  • Experience in creating and registering departments related to testing
  • Experience in selecting evaluation equipment and facilities for battery testing

Desirable skills

  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Experience in aircraft design and testing
  • Experience in battery system design
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience in lithium-ion battery technology
  • Communication and collaboration experience with overseas suppliers
  • Knowledge and experience in selecting and managing battery testing equipment
  • Experience in project management
