Outline of the Job

As a Project Management Officer (PMO) at SkyDrive, you will be a key driver of our mission, acting in a supportive capacity to empower project leaders and group managers. This role is about proactive support, not direct authority. You'll ensure our projects move forward efficiently and that all teams are aligned on strategic goals. What you'll do:

  • Lead Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, set clear goals and schedules, and manage projects from a holistic perspective, balancing quality, cost, and delivery. You'll also select, implement, and manage the best project management tools for tracking progress and resources.
  • Monitor & Report: Provide regular, clear updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management. You'll take a proactive approach by gathering information across all groups to visualize project health and propose solutions to keep everything on track. You'll also identify and address unacknowledged issues that fall between groups, ensuring there are owners for all tasks.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Promote and implement best practices in project management by developing standard processes and templates. You will also manage governance meetings, ensuring discussions are productive and that all decisions and action items are clearly documented.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central hub for communication, supporting group managers and facilitating agreement among different teams. You'll ensure effective cross-group collaboration, help resolve issues, and keep everyone on the same page and moving toward our collective goals.

Essential Skills

  • Project Management Expertise: 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically within mobility or aerospace-related projects.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with popular project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Trello for managing tasks, tracking progress, and allocating resources.
  • Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of eVTOL or aircraft technology and the associated development processes is advantage.
  • Organizational & Leadership Acumen: Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive, supportive leadership style that focuses on empowering others.
  • Problem-Solving: The tenacity to identify difficult problems and the ability to spontaneously propose and drive solutions.
  • Specialized Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience and a solid understanding of either Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Certification and Safety processes within a highly regulated industry.

Desirable Skills

  • Certifications: Project management-related certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2.
  • Aerospace Background: Prior experience in project management within the aerospace or consulting industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: A technical background with knowledge in design, analysis, manufacturing, or testing.
  • Curiosity & Initiative: A strong curiosity to acquire necessary knowledge and a self-starting attitude that doesn’t require constant supervision.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
    • Measures to Prevent Secondhand Smoke: Smoking Room Provided
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
    • In the case of flextime: No core time
    • Discretionary Labor System: Specialized Class Deemed working hours per day: 10 hours
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)
    • Overtime Work: Available

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Estimated Annual Salary: JPY 6,850,000- JPY 13,000,000 
  • Monthly Salary: JPY 571,000 - JPY 1,084,000
    • Includes fixed overtime pay for 45 hours, amounting to JPY 197,680 - JPY  375,239
      *Additional overtime pay will be provided for hours exceeding the fixed overtime.
