Vibration Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Vibration Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the structural integrity, reliability, and certification readiness of systems installed across the entire aircraft, as well as contribute significantly to passenger comfort. Your primary responsibility will be to design and drive vibration testing of airborne equipment to completion, to analyze vibration test data, and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all airborne equipment is robust enough to withstand the expected vibration levels on the aircraft for the expected life with a sufficient margin of safety. In addition, you will be responsible for determining the appropriate testing criteria for operational shock and crash safety, analyzing operational shock and crash safety test reports, and ensuring that all airborne equipment does not fail critically in the event of a shock or crash.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, tailor, and validate the criteria for the vibration testing of airborne equipment
- Collaborate with suppliers of airborne equipment and other stakeholders on vibration environment qualification testing
- Analyze and interpret vibration test data to determine the vibration tolerance of airborne equipment
- Provide guidance on design modifications needed to reduce the effects of the aircraft vibration environment on airborne equipment, as needed.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on vibration modelling, testing, and data analysis, providing guidance to cross-functional teams during the design and development process.
- Ensure vibration requirements are integrated into the overall vehicle development cycle.
Job Highlights
