EWIS Certification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled EWIS Certification Engineer to support the certification and compliance activities for aircraft electrical wiring systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering, regulatory compliance, and certification processes in accordance with JCAB, FAA, EASA, and other international aviation authorities.

Key Responsibility

  • Should be able to do electrical circuit design and equipment design for aircraft power and lighting systems, and select electrical components such as wires, connectors, terminals, and clamps.
  • Consistently handle the planning and explanation of electrical and lighting requirement compliance to aviation authorities, and certification acquisition for wiring and connectors, in coordination with the certification activities of the entire company.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FAA AC 25.1701-1, EASA CS-25, and ARP 4761/4754A.
  • Review and validate EWIS-related engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, harness routing, and installation drawings.
  • Support design reviews, risk assessments, and certification audits as required.
  • Provide technical guidance on wiring separation, protection, and installation practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain certification reports, compliance checklists, and substantiation documents.
  • Work collaboratively with aircraft OEMs, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve certification milestones.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in EWIS certification
  • Proven experience with engineering liaison.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements from authorities such as FAA, EASA, JCAB, or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with DO-160, DO-254, or DO-178.

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in CATIA and electrical design tools.
  • Familiarity with thermal, EMI/EMC, and vibration considerations in EWIS design.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes or design-for-manufacturing principles.
  • Experience or knowledge of liaison with production sites or regulatory agencies.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Type of Employment

  • Permanent Employee or Contract Employee
  • Probationary period: 3~6 month

Place of Employment

  • Nagoya Airport Office: Nagoya Airport Terminal Building 2nd floor, Toyoba, Toyoyama-Cho, Nishikasugai, Aichi Prefecture
  • Scope of Change: Places determined by the Company (including places where telework is performed)

Working Hours

  • Flextime or Discretionary labor system
  • Basic working hours: Start 9:00 End 18:00(Including 1hour break time)

Holidays

  • 115 days off per year(Saturday / Sundays / Newyear holidays(12/29~1/3) / Company designated holidays)
  • Annual paid leave
  • Refresh leave (Granted after 1, 3, 4, 5 years of service)

Salary

  • Annual salary paid in 12 monthly installments (including fixed overtime allowance)
  • To be determined based on skills, experience, and abilities
