Senior Marketing Designer / Art Director (consultant/freelancer assignment)

In essence:
You’ll be shaping and driving the expression of our brand across campaigns, always-on communications, and key marketing initiatives. You’ll craft compelling, high-impact designs that get noticed, across multiple platforms. You’ll be hands-on, curious, and forward-thinking, in shaping design workflows and creative execution.

Assignment:

Our team is changing and so we’re looking for a freelancer who can start asap and work with us 100% for at least 6 months

Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in design, art direction, or creative marketing
  • Experience in both agency and SaaS/startup environments preferred
  • Located in Stockholm

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, working on several projects simultaneously. 
  • Works smart—familiar with startup/scaleup ways of working, knows when to go big and when to get it done.
  • Growth-oriented, with a bold and experimental mindset, ready to try new things and turn business-as-usual into creative opportunities.

Responsibilities for the role:

  • Co-develop campaign concepts with copywriters, designers, and marketers
  • Own visual storytelling, ensuring that design work aligns with brand identity and broader strategic goals
  • Create compelling, high-quality, and scalable visual assets, including but not limited to: digital ads, social media visuals, landing pages, sales materials, and video assets
  • Adapt and repurpose visual assets across marketing funnels and channels, ensuring format and style fit specific campaign needs
  • Guide the visual identity of the brand, ensuring consistency and evolution across all touchpoints
  • Analyze creative challenges, anticipate consequences, and eliminate design obstacles to successfully complete projects
  • Present creative concepts clearly and persuasively, while also being open to feedback to refine and elevate designs
  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions, inspiring others with strategic insights and innovative ideas
  • Integrate AI-driven tools into the creative workflow to optimize efficiency and elevate creative output
  • Collaborate closely with internal brand, growth, and content teams to ensure alignment between brand expression and marketing objectives
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to other creatives, helping to raise the quality of work across the team

Example tasks:

  • Develop a hero creative concept for a multi-channel marketing campaign
  • Create ad assets that cut through in social media, landing pages, and performance marketing
  • Oversee the design and art direction of brand campaigns, ensuring strategic and creative alignment
  • Design pitch decks, sales materials, and presentations that clearly communicate our value proposition
  • Build out and refine our brand’s visual guidelines, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints
  • Provide design input and feedback to ensure high-quality output from other team members
  • Explore AI tools to streamline creative workflows and push the boundaries of design execution

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in progressive digital and brand projects
  • Expertise in visual communication, branding, and campaign development
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas that drive engagement and conversion
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present and defend creative choices
  • A varied portfolio showcasing branding, campaign work, and marketing design
  • Passion for creative problem-solving and pushing brand expression forward
  • Experience working across both consumer and B2B enterprise marketing

Not required:

  • Swedish (daily work is in English)
  • Formal education—your work speaks for itself

Please note that this role will have its base in our Stockholm office and is primarily an onsite assignment with the possibioity to work from home up to twice per week.
