Midweight Copywriter (consultant/freelancer assignment)

In essence:

You’ll be creating impactful communications that span both creative campaigns and always-on content. You'll co-develop unique, on-strategy ideas with art directors, designers, and others. You’ll make work interesting while building content growth engines, and stay curious and hands-on as you explore how AI is shaping your craft.

Profile

  • 4+ years copywriting
  • Located in Stockholm
  • Preferred both agency and SaaS/Startup experience

Responsibilities for the role:

  • Co-develop with art directors, designers, and others to create unique, on-strategy conceptual ideas.
  • Create compelling, high-quality, and scalable communications, including but not limited to: headlines, short-form digital copy, social media posts, long-form content, scripts, and sales material.
  • Adapt and re-purpose concepts and messaging to cross funnels and channels – with appropriate writing style and format to fit each campaign's specific needs.
  • Analyze problems, anticipate consequences, and eliminate obstacles to successfully complete projects.
  • Have a good understanding of our brand, business goals, and project objectives and proactively shape copy to solve for these challenges.
  • Present ideas in a clear, focused way that builds consensus within the team, while also listening and internalizing feedback to deliver creatives that exceed expectations.
  • Manage the creative process; keep things flowing smoothly, reviewing work and prioritizing within timelines for project milestones.
  • Execute TOV, punctuation, style, and other brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all projects and campaigns.

Example tasks:

  • Provide a range of ideas and options against creative briefs, and then present, defend, and adapt those options with stakeholders.
  • Build out messaging into communication distribution plans.
  • Write headlines and long copy for ads and other marketing materials.
  • Develop a script for a video launching a new product.
  • Write an editorial story interviewing a public figure.
  • Create social media posts that cut through.
  • Rewrite a sales deck to pitch perfection.
  • Pack feeling and value into our website copy.
  • Come up with and write “hero content”, used as the center for campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience producing progressive digital and brand projects.
  • Experience with digital content growth programs.
  • Experience with both consumer and B2B enterprise marketing.
  • Good skills in concept development and brand tone of voice.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain, judge, and organize ideas.
  • A strong portfolio showing copywriting for both branding and marketing/advertising.
  • A passion for the work.

Not required:

  • Swedish (daily work is in English)
  • Formal education (we value your portfolio and previous work)

 

Please note that this is a 6-month full-time freelancing/contractor assignment, with a start date as soon as possible for the right person.

Please note that this role will have its base in our Stockholm office and is primarily an onsite assignment with the possibility to work from home up to twice per week.
