As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will lead our engineering efforts, define our technical vision, and guide Mentimeter through an exciting phase of growth and innovation. You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the Menti management team and your responsibility together with the management team is to continue keeping Menti an innovate and fast growing company, ensuring we unlock the power of together for over 1 billion people. You role will be to ensure our technology strategy enables scalability, reliability, and cutting-edge innovation, keeping AI and customer-centricity at the forefront of everything we do.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and communicate the overarching technical vision and strategy that aligns with company goals and market opportunities.
- Drive technical innovation by staying ahead of market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with the Mentimeter Management Team to support product innovation, balancing speed, innovation, and scalability.
Engineering Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the Engineering Leaders to create a culture of collaboration, openness, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute a talent strategy to attract, retain, and grow top engineering talent.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to align technology with business goals.
Technology Leadership
- Oversee the technical strategy for both our core product offering and customer journey/go-to-market processes.
- Ensure technology decisions support scalability, reliability, security, and innovation, with AI integrated throughout.
- Be a key stakeholder in decisions about hosting platforms, backend languages, and customer-experience technologies, while collaborating with VP Data and Operations leaders on tools like CRM and analytics.
Technology Excellence
- Champion best practices in software engineering, agile methodologies, and AI implementation to deliver robust, user-friendly products.
- Inspire the organization with a vision for how AI can strengthen Mentimeter's offering and maintain its position as an AI-powered company.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage the engineering budget effectively, balancing costs with performance and scalability.
- Lead infrastructure and tooling decisions to ensure resources are optimized for success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading an engineering organization at a similar scale, preferably as VP of Engineering or CTO in a B2B SaaS company (10+ years in leadership roles).
- Deep technical expertise and the ability to inspire and guide an organization through technical strategy and execution.
- A track record of using technology to drive innovation and scale
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience navigating high-complexity environments and driving organizational transformation.
- Strong expertise in aligning technology with business strategy, customer needs, and market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent, building a culture of engagement and satisfaction.
- A passion for innovation, paired with a customer-first mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
What You’ll Have to Support You
- Membership in the Menti management team to drive the company’s success collaboratively.
- Leadership of the Product Department Management Team, with autonomy to structure the engineering organization for maximum impact.
- A Product Department of 120+ talented individuals across Engineering, Product Management, and Design, supported by a Data & Analytics team.
