Senior / Lead ServiceNow Engineer

We are looking for a senior engineer to own, build, and run the ServiceNow platform at Man Group. Technology is central to Man’s business strategy and you will work alongside our internal support, software and platform engineering teams to deliver the tools and processes they need to productively support our complex business.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ServiceNow administration and development, including workflow configuration, custom application development, and integrations. This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions within ServiceNow.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a product lead for ServiceNow providing strategy and direction for the platform that is in-line with Man’s business and Technology goals.
- Administration of the platform ensuring high levels of availability, security and performance.
- Configuration and enhancement of core ITSM functionality including workflows and reporting for Incident Management, Change Management and Request Fulfilment.
- Develop custom applications and integrations using ServiceNow's development tools, including Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and REST APIs.
- Integrating ServiceNow with tools like Slack, Jira and CI/CD pipelines to automate and de-duplicate processes.
- Management and prioritisation with key stakeholders of the ServiceNow backlog
- Implement and manage ServiceNow upgrades and patches, ensuring system integrity, compliance with best practices, and encouraging adoption of new features.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow issues, working closely with engineering teams.
- Maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, process flows, and user guides.
- Mentor and train junior administrators and power users on ServiceNow capabilities and best practices.
Technology and Business Skills
- Multiple years of experience in ServiceNow administration and development

Scripting and API or workflow integration experience with languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Great communication skills coupled with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical colleagues

Knowledge of ITSM and / or ITIL processes

A proponent of strong software engineering techniques and agile methods
Advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree with mathematical and computing content e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics (or similar industry experience)
- Experience with of administering or integrating with SaaS tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Workato, Microsoft Power Platform, etc.
- Experience of product, project or team leadership
- Understanding of financial markets
