What you will be doing

Accounts Payable (AP) Analysis & Support

  • Review and analyse Accounts Payable reports to identify outstanding balances, trends, and discrepancies.
  • Investigate and help resolve issues related to vendor payments, invoice discrepancies, and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and update regular AP status reports for management and internal teams.

Invoice Validation & Vendor Communication

  • Review incoming invoices from suppliers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Accurately post validated invoice transactions into the accounting system.
  • Track and monitor pending invoices, following up with internal stakeholders and vendors as needed to ensure timely processing.
  • Serve as a point of contact for supplier queries via email, addressing claims and questions promptly and professionally.

Procurement Tool Implementation Support

  • Assist in the rollout and adoption of the new procurement tool across the company.
  • Guide and support non-accounting stakeholders in creating and submitting purchase requisitions.
  • Validate submitted requisitions to ensure compliance and accuracy prior to approval.

Accounting & Month-End Support

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing basic journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Provide general support for ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Good understanding of Accounting principles
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment
