Financial Planning & Analysis Intern

What you will be doing

• Collaborate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, aiding in the development of financial projections
• Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for various business units, enhancing decision-making capabilities
• Conduct variance analysis and compile performance metrics reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects, providing valuable insights to drive business growth
• Aid in the creation of impactful presentations for senior management, effectively communicating financial data
• Participate in data gathering and analysis initiatives, supporting data-driven business decisions

What we are looking for

• Fresh graduates or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field at a leading European business school
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to manage large datasets effectively
• Solid understanding of financial statements and fundamental accounting principles
• Enthusiasm for learning and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced e-commerce environment

These skills are not mandatory, but will help you stand out 

• Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting techniques 
• Keen interest in the African eCommerce market and its growth potential
