About the role :

The Key Account Manager will report to the Head of Sales with primary responsibilities to create, maintain and develop business relationships with customers and prospects for third party logistics solutions at scale delivering exceptional Customer experience and growth in business. In addition the candidate would be expected to contribute to the product and technical solutions roadmap leveraging insights from prospects and clients feedback.

 

Key Responsibilities : 

  1. Lead Management
  • Manage sales agents to maximize sales revenues and meet the business objectives.
  • Develop procedures for converting target clients sustainably based on best practices.
  • Develop and implement plans to deliver sustained growth in client base and revenue for the suite of services.
  • Manage the lead generation, conversion, and activation/onboarding process for new clients from existing markets and new markets.
  • Establish personal contact and rapport with influencers, decision-makers and aggregators.
  • Lead client onboarding, refresher training programs in addition to other engagement activities to increase revenue from existing clients.
  • Develop and execute client retention programs and activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to ensure Jumia logistics is featured in Jumia events to generate leads and drive increased revenue.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Develop proposals and quotes in line with the pricing strategy.
  • Report on sales progress against targets and lead execution of the gap-closing intervention.

  • Represent the sales team and present sales plans and situation in regular meetings

       2. People Management

  • End to end participation on all team structure training and performance management.
  • Development and building of team morale and coerciveness.
  • Responsible for the cascading, monitoring and execution of team KPIs in line with business strategy
  • Leading, coaching, developing and supervising the efforts of junior staff
  • Active involvement in the development of functional/industry practice

Required Qualifications :

  • A completed master’s degree from an accredited university; An MBA, Business Management degree or relevant
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email, Internet etc.
  • Proficient in Google Office Suite – Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills – assess, design and sell a given solution

Relevant Experience :

  • Ownership mentality and an entrepreneurial drive
  • 6 - 10 years’ in B2B sales and account management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power - point) tools.
  • Working knowledge of Google Office Productivity Tools.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
  • Good problem-solving skills required • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets, can prioritize tasks under pressure. Qualification & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized and accredited University
  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment preferably in a consumer goods, retail, consumer electronics or fashion & beauty environment.
