What you will be doing:
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to customers' doorsteps or designated delivery locations within assigned geographical areas, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Use handheld devices or mobile applications to access delivery routes, receive delivery instructions, and confirm delivery status in real-time.
- Load packages onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securement to prevent damage during transit.
- Navigate delivery routes using GPS or maps, optimizing travel routes to minimize delivery times and maximize efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions, including greeting customers, verifying delivery details, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Obtain customer signatures or proof of delivery, and accurately record delivery information using electronic delivery confirmation systems.
- Follow established safety protocols and traffic regulations while driving and operating delivery vehicles, ensuring the safety of yourself, pedestrians, and other road users.
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle malfunctions, or accidents to the Last Mile Team Lead or designated supervisor, and follow established procedures for resolution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces, and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements and service level agreements.
