Manufacturing Quality Manager (m/f/d)
About the role
We are looking for a proactive and structured Manufacturing Quality Manager (m/f/d) to build and continuously improve our quality and production processes across manufacturing, supply chain and verification and validation (V&V) testing.
This is a greenfield role in which you will take ownership of building up, establishing and scaling the relevant quality structures, processes and standards from the ground up. You will create a robust and practical framework for production quality, supplier quality, process control and operational excellence in a fast-paced dual-use environment.
You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Verification and Validation teams to improve process stability, strengthen input quality, define clear production requirements and implement practical quality methods that support reliable execution and sustainable growth.
Your impact at ARX Robotics
- Build up, establish and continuously improve the production-related QMS, including procedures, work instructions, records and improvement routines.
- Set up and optimize quality processes across production, supplier management, incoming inspection, in-process control and V&V testing in a greenfield environment.
- Drive production process improvement by defining and controlling clear input requirements (System, Software, Hardware) for manufacturing and by improving upstream and existing processes through better requirements, interfaces and procedural clarity.
- Establish and maintain quality plans, inspection concepts and procedural controls for production and final acceptance.
- Conduct or coordinate incoming inspections, in-process checks and final acceptance testing to ensure component and system conformity.
- Act as the central point of contact for production quality topics across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality Management.
- Define, monitor and report quality KPIs and translate findings into measurable improvements in process capability, defect reduction and operational performance.
- Support and prepare for internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and defense/customer-specific quality requirements.
Your Profile
Must-have
- Proven experience in building up and establishing quality structures and processes in a growing or greenfield manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in production process improvement, including controlling input requirements and improving upstream/downstream process quality through clear requirements and interfaces.
- Experience creating and improving quality plans, procedures, work instructions and process controls in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with measurement control systems, including calibration management, inspection and test equipment control, measurement reliability and the establishment of suitable measurement processes in production and V&V testing.
Nice to have
- Experience with AQAP / NATO quality assurance requirements
- Qualification or experience as an ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- Hands-on experience with structured quality methods and continuous improvement tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D and Six Sigma
