Senior Technical Program Manager (m/f/d)

Munich

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (m/f/d) to lead cross-functional programs that translate advanced perception, autonomy, and ruggedized hardware into deployed, mission-ready capabilities.

You will be responsible for managing schedule, cost, scope, and risk from early concept through integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment, working closely with engineering, product, manufacturing and supply chain teams, as well as customer stakeholders in defense environments.

To join our team, you should be excited to

  • Own the full lifecycle: drive program planning, multi-phase roadmaps, and gated milestones (design → development → integration → flight/field test → production → sustainment)
  • Deliver reliably: manage integrated master schedules (IMS), budgets, dependencies, and critical path; resolve blockers and course-correct fast
  • Lead cross-functional execution across autonomy software, embedded systems, perception, avionics/mechatronics, hardware, and manufacturing; align internal teams and vendors
  • Translate mission to engineering: capture customer/mission requirements, define success criteria, and ensure verification/validation and acceptance are unambiguous
  • Run program ceremonies: program increments, risk reviews, EACs, change control, and executive readouts; keep crisp, action-oriented communication
  • Manage risk aggressively: identify technical, schedule, supply, regulatory, and field risks; keep a living risk register with mitigations and triggers
  • Coordinate test & deployments: plan lab, range, and customer site tests; synthesize results into decisions and next-step plans

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in leading complex, technical hardware-software programs (robotics, autonomy, automotive, or adjacent)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, CS, or related; technical depth to engage with senior engineers across autonomy, perception, embedded, and hardware
  • Track record shipping to production or fielding systems in regulated/mission-critical domains; mastery of schedule and execution
  • Fluency with program controls: risk registers, change management, supplier management, and quality gates
  • Excellent stakeholder communication—from engineers to executives to defense end-users; ruthless prioritization and clarity under ambiguity

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • A shaping role in an emerging dual use company
  • Opportunity to work with a highly innovative, international, and dynamic team
  • Room for professional growth and development
  • Participation in the company's success, with access to regular events, knowledge exchange and meetups
