
Technical Writer (m/f/d)
About the role
As a Technical Writer, you will play a key role in creating, structuring, and maintaining the technical documentation for our military and dual-use robotic systems.
You will work closely with System Engineering, Safety & Mission Assurance, and Product Development to ensure that all documentation meets regulatory, military, and customer requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Create and maintain technical documentation for military and dual-use systems
- Prepare CE documentation according to applicable regulations (Machinery Directive, Machinery Regulation, EMC Directive, RED, Low Voltage Directive)
- Develop and adapt graphics, schematics, and technical illustrations
- Create and maintain operating manuals and maintenance instructions
- Develop electronic documentation structures and documentation systems
- Plan and prepare technical documentation deliverables
- Create and update internal and external technical documents for customer operation and maintenance personnel
- Maintain configuration-related documentation rules and procedures
- Collaborate closely with System Engineering to collect, structure, and prepare all technical information required to understand system operation and functionality
- Independently execute change management processes and create new technical documentation as needed
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality
Your Profile
- Degree in Information Technology, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Writing, or a comparable qualification
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language
- Passion for editorial processes, structured documentation, and new technologies
- Fluent German and very good English skills
- Nice to have: awareness of relevant norms and military documentation standards (e.g IEC/IEEE 92079-1, ISO 20607)
