Software Integration & Deployment Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role 

We are looking for a hands-on Software Integration and Deployment Engineer (m/f/d) who owns the final software provisioning, validation, and release readiness of our robotic platforms at the end of the production process. 

In this role, you ensure that every robot leaves production with the correct software, configuration, and validated system status. You will continuously improve and standardize the end-of-line deployment workflow, driving automation and scalable processes that can be executed reliably across production sites. 

The position requires close collaboration with Software Engineering, Testing, Robotics, and Production teams to ensure seamless integration between development, validation, and manufacturing. 

Your Tasks 

  • Own the end-of-line software deployment, configuration, and validation process for robotic systems 
  • Prepare, execute, and verify software flashing, configuration loading, and system provisioning 
  • Ensure each platform is fully functional, validated, and production-release ready 
  • Define, standardize, and continuously improve deployment workflows to enable scalable and automated execution 
  • Develop and maintain deployment scripts, system images, and automated setup procedures 
  • Act as the key interface between Software Development, Testing, and Production for integration topics 
  • Support end-of-line functional tests including connectivity, system diagnostics, and software validation 
  • Analyze recurring integration issues and drive sustainable process and tooling improvements 
  • Document deployment standards, procedures, and validation criteria for scalable manufacturing 
  • Support the rollout of deployment solutions to additional production lines or locations 

Your Profile

  • Degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, IT Systems Integration, or similar 
  • Hands-on experience with software deployment, system provisioning, or embedded/robotic platforms 
  • Experience working with Linux systems, scripting (e.g., Bash, Python), or automation tooling 
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces and production integration workflows 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with development and testing teams 
  • Structured, process-oriented mindset with a strong ownership mentality 
  • Ability to translate engineering requirements into robust and scalable production processes 
  • Professional English required; German is a plus
