Senior Strategic Buyer

Due to strategic footprint expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Senior Buyer to join our Indirect Procurement Team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our procurement strategies at a group level, directly impacting our ability to achieve optimal value and efficiency across the organization. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process across different spend categories, from developing comprehensive strategies and managing key supplier relationships to leading complex negotiations and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The emphasis on strategic thinking, supplier relationship management, cost management, and cross-functional collaboration highlights the multifaceted nature of this senior procurement position. This role is not limited to specific category, but rather focusing on indirect procurement of services, including Marketing, Tech, Product and professional services. By attracting experienced professional with these capabilities, Superbet seeks to strengthen its procurement function and drive significant value across the organization.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Proves progressive experience in strategic procurement roles in international environment, with a demonstrable track record of developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives and group-level procurement strategies.
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered a plus.  
  • Has experience in diverse indirect procurement category management practices.
  • Is a strategic thinker: Demonstrates the ability to formulate and execute long-term procurement strategies that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Proves excellent negotiation Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and successfully conclude complex negotiations with suppliers, securing favorable terms and pricing. 
  • Has supplier relationship management experience: Proven expertise in building, nurturing, and maintaining effective and collaborative partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Proves excellent communication & interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. A self-starter with minimum guidance and
  • Proves analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, identify key trends, and make well-informed procurement decisions, along with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Has Project Management Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple procurement projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with relevant procurement software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, as well as proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Has a proven track record and subject matter expertise of commercial indirect procurement (Sales&Marketing, HR, External agencies, events etc)

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience in building Tableau/Power BI dashboards and content in Notion would be appreciated and nice to have;

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Procurement & Planning - a comprehensive understanding of the company's strategic direction and how procurement can best support it through optimized sourcing and purchasing practices.
  • Negotiation & Contracting – responsible for leading in conducting complex negotiations with suppliers to secure the value for the company translated into the most favorable terms, conditions, and pricing for goods and services.
  • Cost Management & Value Creation - driving cost savings initiatives across the group. This involves identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency gains, negotiating price reductions, and exploring alternative sourcing options.
  • Supplier Relationship Management - responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting key suppliers who can meet Superbet quality, cost, and delivery requirements consistently. Building strong, collaborative relationships with strategic partners is essential, fostering open communication and mutual understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - working closely with teams across Finance, Legal, Product, Operations, and other relevant departments to gain a thorough understanding of their procurement needs and ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with these requirements and overall business objectives.
  • Risk Management & Compliance - identifying and mitigating potential risks within the supply chain. This includes assessing potential disruptions, evaluating supplier financial stability, and developing contingency plans to ensure business continuity
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting - tracking key procurement metrics (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement - continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes is a key aspect of this role. The Senior Buyer will be expected to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to enhance overall procurement effectiveness and efficiency.
