Procurement & Vendor Performance Lead

Due to strategic footprint expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Procurement & Vendor Performance Lead to join our Indirect Procurement Team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our procurement strategies at a group level, directly impacting our ability to achieve optimal value and efficiency across the organization.

The Procurement & Vendor Performance Lead will primarily focus on negotiation and procurement activities (approximately 70% of the role), leading complex negotiations, managing key supplier relationships, and driving cost optimization. The remaining 30% of the role will be dedicated to analytical capabilities, leveraging tools like Power BI to create insightful dashboards, perform vendor management analysis, and inform strategic decisions.

This role is not limited to specific categories but rather focuses on indirect procurement of services, including Marketing, Tech, Product, and Professional Services. By attracting an experienced professional with these capabilities, Superbet seeks to strengthen its procurement function and drive significant value across the organization.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a proven track record and subject matter expertise in commercial indirect procurement (Sales & Marketing, HR, External agencies, events, etc.).
  • Proves exceptional negotiation skills, strong stakeholder management, and robust financial acumen.
  • Has the ability to influence at all levels, challenge the status quo, work within a matrix organization, and drive procurement excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and utilizing visualization tools dashboards for procurement and vendor analysis (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Is a strategic thinker: Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute long-term procurement strategies that align with overarching business objectives.
  • Proves Supplier Relationship Management experience: Proven expertise in building, nurturing, and maintaining effective and collaborative partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Is an excellent communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. A self-starter with minimum guidance.
  • Proves problem-solving skills: Strong ability to effectively solve complex problems within the procurement lifecycle.
  • Has project Management Skills: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple procurement projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Is fluent in English, both written and spoken, is essential

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Negotiation & Contracting: Lead and conduct complex negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, conditions, and pricing for goods and services, ensuring optimal value for Superbet.
  • End-to-End Procurement Management: Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle for various indirect spend categories, from developing comprehensive strategies and identifying new sourcing opportunities to contract execution and ongoing supplier performance management.
  • Cost Management & Value Creation: Proactively identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains across the group. This involves negotiating price reductions, exploring alternative sourcing options, and challenging the status quo to drive continuous value creation.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Identify, evaluate, and select key suppliers who consistently meet Superbet's quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with strategic partners, fostering open communication and mutual understanding of goals and expectations.
  • Procurement Analytics & Reporting: Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and other analytical tools to provide deep insights into vendor performance, spend analysis, market trends, and procurement KPIs. Translate complex data into actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Vendor Management Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of vendor performance, compliance, and risk, leveraging data to optimize relationships and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Finance, Legal, Product, Operations, and other relevant departments to gain a thorough understanding of their procurement needs and ensure that procurement strategies are aligned with business requirements and overall objectives.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, including assessing disruptions, evaluating supplier financial stability, and developing contingency plans. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes, identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.
