Head of Programmatic

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Programmatic to lead our global programmatic advertising strategy across multiple markets. This key leadership role will oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimisation of programmatic campaigns to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, deep technical expertise in programmatic platforms, and proven experience managing cross-market teams in a fast-paced environment.
We're looking for someone who has:
- 8+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing global or multi-market teams.
- Proven track record of delivering significant business growth through programmatic campaigns in a performance-driven environment
- Advanced knowledge of DSPs (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What you'll be doing:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a global programmatic advertising strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on growth, ROI, and market share.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and innovation, tailoring strategies to meet the unique needs of regional audiences.
- Establish frameworks for cross-market collaboration to ensure consistency and efficiency in programmatic practices globally.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of programmatic specialists across multiple markets.
- Partner with regional marketing leads to align on local objectives, ensuring tailored strategies within the global framework.
- Drive team development through training, skill-sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Campaign Management & Optimisation
- Oversee end-to-end campaign management, from planning to execution and post-campaign analysis, ensuring delivery against KPIs such as CPA, ROI, and LTV.
- Leverage advanced audience targeting, data modeling, and machine learning to optimise campaign performance and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with creative and data science teams to deliver engaging, high-performing ad experiences.
Platform & Technology Ownership
- Drive in-housing and adoption of best-in-tech.
- Monitor advancements in programmatic technology, integrating new capabilities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective solutions and service excellence.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Utilise robust analytics to measure performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Implement a culture of test-and-learn to continuously refine strategies and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Report on global performance metrics, communicating results to C-suite stakeholders with clarity and impact.
Compliance & Industry Awareness
- Ensure all programmatic campaigns comply with regional regulations and brand safety guidelines.
- Stay informed of industry trends, including privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and adapt strategies accordingly.
