This is a hands-on city builder role with one clear goal: generate bookings and make the city grow. As a City Expansion Manager you are responsible for turning every real opportunity in Luxembourg into actual bookings. Nothing stays theoretical. If demand exists, you make it convert. If supply exists, you make it bookable. If something blocks a booking, you remove the blocker. This is your city. You are fully responsible for making the city grow — supply, demand, revenue, traction, and momentum while leveraging the resources, budgets, knowledge and skills of the overall company.

The workplace is Berlin or Paris.

YOUR MISSION

  • Own the growth of the city end to end — bookings, revenue, supply, and unit economics.
  • Act as the hands-on builder on the ground: testing, pushing, fixing, iterating, and scaling what works.
  • Go after every meaningful opportunity to create bookings — supply gaps, demand spikes, partnerships, pricing levers, operational fixes.
  • Be relentlessly focused on conversion by being close to our landlords and tenants: guide landlords to publish listings live, correct their availability, persuade them to adjust to the right pricing, ensure quick responses when there is an opportunity and secure contracts.
  • Actively work on the operational reality of the city: fixing issues, unblocking cases, jumping into landlord or tenant conversations when needed. You identify where bookings get stuck and personally push them through.
  • Leverage central teams (Product, Marketing, Ops, Legal) as force multipliers, learning quicker and enabling higher growth.
  • Track performance daily and weekly, knowing exactly what drives bookings and revenue in your city. Spot early, and act fast.
  • Decide what to focus on every week: where to push harder, what to stop, what to fix, and what to double down on.
  • Understand the local market deeply: pricing, demand patterns, regulation, competition, and customer pain points.

YOUR PROFILE

  • French (native or fluent) and English are spoken confidently.
  • Experience building something from zero or at an early stage — such as a market, product, business, team, or meaningful project.
  • Background in fast-moving, ambiguous environments (e.g. startups, scale-ups, consulting, expansion teams, or operations-heavy roles).
  • Strong confidence in working with external stakeholders, with clear, persuasive, and professional communication skills.
  • Enjoyment in engaging with landlords, partners, and customers.
  • A customer-first and solution-oriented mindset, even in complex situations.
  • Ability to move conversations forward and turn friction into progress.
  • High level of hands-on execution: calls, meetings, data analysis, and implementation often happen within the same day.
  • Strong prioritization skills, with a clear sense of what matters now versus what can wait.
  • Data literacy, including knowing which metrics matter, how to interpret them, and how to act on insights.
  • Resilience, pragmatism, and adaptability in the face of changing priorities or uncertainty.
  • Ability to work independently without constant direction, while proactively driving topics forward.
  • Proven capability to drive initiatives across teams without formal authority by:
  • Simplifying complex problems and clearly communicating what is needed.
  • Creating momentum through clarity, persistence, and pragmatism.
  • Getting things done by making it easy for others to engage and contribute.
