Wunderflats’ growth cities are past the “launch” phase — demand exists, supply exists, PMF exists and teams are already working on them. What they need now is clear ownership and faster growth. As a City Growth Manager, you take a city (Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt or Munich) that already works and turn it into a significant revenue engine. You own the strategy, the priorities, and the results. Your job is not to do everything yourself, but to make sure that everything that happens in the city actually moves the needle. This is a high-impact role early in your career: you operate like a mini–general manager, influence multiple teams, and make real decisions that shape the business.

YOUR MISSION
- Analyze city performance end-to-end and identify growth bottlenecks
- Decide how to best allocate the city budget (supply vs demand vs initiatives)
- Adapt playbooks to local market realities
- Work closely with Sales, Booking, Marketing, Product, and Ops
- Talk directly to landlords and tenants when needed to understand what’s really happening
- Make tough calls — including stopping partnerships that don’t pay off
- Represent the company in your city when relevant
You own
- Revenue growth of your city (primary success metric)
- Booking growth and contribution margin improvement
- City strategy: where to invest, where to stop, what to double down on
- Alignment of all internal teams working on your city
- Key decisions on partnerships, supply focus, and local initiatives
You are the single point of ownership for your city.
YOUR PROFILE
- German (native or fluent) and English are spoken confidently.
- Background in fast-moving, ambiguous environments (e.g. startups, scale-ups, consulting, expansion teams, or operations-heavy roles).
- Strong confidence in working with external stakeholders, with clear, persuasive, and professional communication skills.
- Enjoyment in engaging with landlords, partners, and customers.
- A customer-first and solution-oriented mindset, even in complex situations.
- Ability to move conversations forward and turn friction into progress.
- High level of hands-on execution: calls, meetings, data analysis, and implementation often happen within the same day.
- Strong prioritization skills, with a clear sense of what matters now versus what can wait.
- Data literacy, including knowing which metrics matter, how to interpret them, and how to act on insights.
- Resilience, pragmatism, and adaptability in the face of changing priorities or uncertainty.
- Ability to work independently without constant direction, while proactively driving topics forward.
- Proven capability to drive initiatives across teams without formal authority by:
- Simplifying complex problems and clearly communicating what is needed.
- Creating momentum through clarity, persistence, and pragmatism.
- Getting things done by making it easy for others to engage and contribute.
