The Accounting Coordinator will be a pivotal leader, being the right hand to the Financial Controller and will own and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions.
- Lead the efficient and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met. Essentially, be the “project manager” of the close, making sure all team members complete their tasks and troubleshooting any issues that arise (e.g. a reconciliation discrepancy).
- Experience ensuring integrity and completeness of financial records, including monthly transaction processing, reconciliations and the establishment of accounting processes and policies in compliance with accounting principles
- Assist with preparing accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and supporting schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to Brazilian accounting principles (BR GAAP / IFRS), tax regulations (e.g., INSS, IRRF, PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ISS), and gaming-specific financial regulations.
- Oversee and mentor a small team of accountants/analysts, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller to ensure efficient month-end and year-end close processes and robust operational accounting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CRC is a must.
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian Accounting Principles (BRGAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Prior experience in the betting, gaming, or fast paced industries in Brazil is a significant advantage.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Structured approach to balancing multiple demands and priorities.
- Working knowledge of current Brazilian VAT regimes, including ICMS, IPI, ISS, PIS, and COFINS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus.
- Leadership experience desirable.
