AI Automation Engineer

In this exciting time of scaling our product and innovating the company with best-in-class business applications, we are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join our growing team! In this role you will be crucial in the AI transformation that our IT departments are going through.

 

What you'll be doing:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven and automation solutions integrated with enterprise business applications.
  • Contribute to the engineering standards, patterns, and best practices for AI and automation within the tribe.
  • Collaborate with PMTs, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, testable, and production-ready.
  • Support continuous improvement of DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Build and configure automation workflows (e.g., process automation, integrations, orchestration).
  • Develop and integrate AI capabilities such as copilots, agents, document processing, prediction, or classification models.
  • Implement APIs, connectors, and event-driven integrations between business applications and external systems.
  • Apply engineering practices including version control, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor solution performance, reliability, and cost, and proactively address issues.
  • Produce technical documentation and solution designs.
  • Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support controlled rollouts across environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD).

 

 

We're looking for someone with:

 

 

  • Minimum BA, preferably Master
  • Proven experience as a software, automation, or platform engineer in enterprise environments. 
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or workflow engines.
  • Experience integrating enterprise business applications (e.g., ERP, HR, CRM, Document management) via APIs or business events.
  • Understanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, copilots, intelligent document processing, or ML-based automation.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD, source control, environment management).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (RPA, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Google Ecosystem, n8n).
  • Experience working in agile or product-oriented delivery models
  • Engineering mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solver with a continuous improvement desire.
  • Comfortable working in a changing environment and helping shape new ways of working.
  • Willingness to mentor others and contribute to team maturity.
  • Base in Zagreb or Bucharest as this will require hybrid work
