Testing Analyst - Trading

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Testing Analyst to join our growing team in Trading Product. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Sports Trading/betting looking to move into a role within Product and technology. You will receive hands-on training and guidance while contributing to the delivery of high-quality Trading solutions.

We're looking for someone who has: 

• As a Trading function within Sports we build and maintain tools for our Trading teams to manage the betting Offer. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of E2E trading processes and functions, starting with offer creation, 3rd party feed integrations, pricing models, event management and settlement. You will have a good grasp of how new betting features and content gets operationalized by Trading teams.

  • Knowledge of Trading within the context of Sports betting, including familiarity with Trading tools, processes and terminology
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Traders, Product and Engineering at all levels
  • Ability to identify issues and root causes in complex systems under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance thoroughness and efficiency
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to take initiative
  • Experience using Jira and Notion is desirable, but not essential

What you'll be doing:

• Working across multiple projects, plan and prioritise work for all incoming testing
• Understand and analyse business requirements to enable the design of detailed test plans – for both big projects and smaller initiatives/BAU. Collaborate with traders to understand workflow requirements and user journeys to ensure they are included
• Provide estimates of testing effort to the Product Manager
• Perform end-to-end testing of new features and bugfixes. During the testing phase you will look to Identify and record defects fully to enable accurate triage and prioritisation alongside Product and Trading team leads.
• Document all testing & issue status updates on daily standups with engineers, be able to communicate findings, risks, and progress to stakeholders
• Work closely with the design and development teams to ensure our developed solutions are delivered as expected. Alongside Product & QA you will help ensure that any functionality meets any acceptance criteria defined.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and the development team to plan product releases. Track releases to ensure they are delivered on schedule and fit for intended purpose
• Help demo new features and functionality to key stakeholders where applicable
• Monitor and push for the adoption of new features, ideally using KPIs and metrics defined as part of the planning and development process. Gather data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Create and update user guides on new features where applicable. Maintain a repository of documentation that is easily accessible by stakeholders
• Under the guidance of the Product Manager, help resolve blockers or issues within the team and support wider product initiatives. For example but not limited to; conducting competitor analysis and market research, attending and/or facilitating meetings with stakeholders, reviewing data to support product decisions, help manage and refine the product backlogs & taking ownership of smaller product initiatives
• Monitor Trading related channels in slack, help triage any issues or raise new development tasks as needed. Act as a key point of contact for Trading teams in their daily work
• Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of testing standards and procedures across the Superbet group
