The Central Spares Supply Manager will lead and manage the Central Spares Co-ordinators in the supply and delivery of spares globally to CFC’s, while maintaining world class service and support.
Driving, managing and transforming the Central Spares support function by providing leadership direction based on business requirements and priorities.
Ensuring material and finished goods availability to fulfil the demand plan, in a balanced and cost effective manner. Within this role you will ensure inventory data is accurate, regularly reviewed with key stake holders internally and externally.
Orchestrating and ensuring the most cost effective options to deliver to the CFCs on time and in full.
You will be responsible for managing co-ordinator’s workload and daily prioritizations with regards to sales orders, quotations, purchase orders, dealing with suppliers, monitoring supply and demand.
What you will be doing
- Ensuring material and finished goods availability to fulfil the demand plan, in a balanced and consistent manner.
- Orchestrating and ensuring the most cost effective options to deliver to the CFC’s on time and in full.
- Ensuring inventory data is accurate, regularly reviewed with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Direct Line Manager of the Central Spares Co-ordinators, for the consistent delivery of spares against target service and inventory levels, to CFCs globally.
- Manage statement work (SOW) and/or daily operational requirements of Central Spares warehouses.
- Regularly reviewing planning/forecast activities and processes, identifying opportunities to improve end to end supply chain processes and systems. Driving these improvements through the supply planning function for Central Spares.
Key business contact for all Central spares related matters, acting as a direct support for Global Spares Manager.
- Maintaining the latest versions of MRP planning processes (including Standard Operating Procedures and training), ensuring changes are made through a formal sign-off process and then communicating changes afterwards.
- Measuring the success of MRP planning processes, instigating changes where needed and working with stakeholders to ensure they are embedded in the business.
- Manage MRO replenishment inventory at repair workshops.
- Analyse complex technical drawings for part data, using engineering software.
- Manage and support the growing new product integration within Central Spares, from both a supply and operational perspective.
- Growing teams skill set and knowledge for career development, through mentoring and 1-2-1’s.
- Co-ordination of Spares returns and inter-site stock transfers.
- Resolution of any invoice queries which may arise - identify root causes and establish plans to mitigate. Support monthly spares finance reporting process.
- Co-ordination of 3PL and 2PL providers’ deliverables and escalation as required.
About you
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business Management or similar.
- 5-10 years of operations experience, ideally within a demand/supply chain environment.
- Knowledge of S&OP / operational processes and experience with MRP/ERP systems required.
- Skilled leader, with previous line management experience.
- Proven experience of managing and successfully delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analytical, capable of handling large data sets, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen, understanding of the business and environment, with a heightened sense of good judgement.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) - needs to be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across business levels.
- Proficient with Excel, Google docs, CMMS (computerised maintenance management system) and ERP/MRP.
